STRUCTURE OF ORGANIZATION
The main core of the project are:
- The Coordinating Consortium (organization of the project and on-going project management);
- The Expert Panels (conceptual work):
- Main Panel;
- Research Area Panels;
- Thematic Panels;
- The Partnership Institutions (scientific and analytical support).
The consultation functions and supervision over the proper realization of the Programme are exercised by the National Foresight Programme Interdisciplinary Team, called the Steering Committee, acting under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in cooperation with:
- The Foresight Unit of the Science Strategy and Development Department of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education;
- The Support Group comprised of young scientists.

The Foresight methodology was first used during World War II in the US Army in order to get better prepared for the enemy’s moves. To this purpose, brainstorming and expert panel techniques were applied.
